ENERGY CRISIS

What is an Energy Crisis?

An energy crisis is a shortage in the supply of energy resources such as coal, natural gas, and oil which can lead to power outages and price hikes.

Why should I be concerned?

The answer is you shouldn't, but its effects will come creeping at your doorstep. This is not just a problem of one country but the entire world. The consequences of an energy crisis may not be felt now but it will affect the lives of future generations.

Effects on the Environment

An energy crisis won't affect the environment directly, but the use of fossil fuels does. The burning of fossil fuels is one of the leading causes of climate change. In 2019, the UN held a meeting and stated that we only have 11 years to prevent irreversible damage from climate change.
